Zwischen Topophilia und Topophobie: Perspektiven über Kunst, Geschichte, Räume und Technologie. Art Exhibition
How do the places we inhabit and the objects that surround us shape our perceptions, dynamics, and creative processes? This exhibition reflects on these questions, emphasizing that our ideas are not purely abstract but are deeply connected to environmental, social, and cultural factors. Concepts like “topophilia” (love for a place) and “topophobia” (aversion to a place) help illustrate how surroundings impact our emotions and creativity. Through different materials and techniques, each work in this exhibition captures the memories and materialities associated with spaces, offering interpretations that reflect and reimagine the places that have shaped them.
Curated by Alejandra Atalah, this exhibition brings together the works of eight diverse artists whose practices explore themes of memory, identity, and transformation through a variety of mediums, from painting and photography to sculpture and sound.
