Opening Event – March 4, 2025

Karne Kunst is proud to announce the opening of The Pocket Gallery, a new exhibition space in Berlin dedicated to contemporary artistic experimentation. Measuring just one square meter, this micro-gallery challenges conventional formats and redefines the way art is experienced. The Pocket Gallery is always open, accessible to all, and designed to foster direct, intimate engagement with each work presented.

Inaugural Exhibition: “Monstrous Femininity” by Alejandro Montero Bravo

The first exhibition at The Pocket Gallery, “Monstrous Femininity”, presents the work of Alejandro Montero Bravo, an artist whose sculptural installations explore power, gender, and aesthetics. Drawing from feminist theory, pop culture, and personal history, Montero Bravo reclaims the notion of the monstrous as an act of resistance, questioning how society disciplines and marginalizes expressions of femininity that are considered too bold, too powerful, or too disruptive.

Featured Works

• “Synthetic Seduction” (2024) – A vinyl, clay, and textile installation illuminated in soft pink light, reflecting on the duality of desire and fear.
• “Fatality” (2024) – A composition of translucent textiles, plexiglass, and steel that embodies both structural strength and organic fluidity.

Opening Event Details

We invite curators, collectors, artists, and the Berlin cultural community to join us for the opening event on March 4, 2025, at 7 PM. The evening will feature an exclusive first look at the exhibition, an opportunity to engage with the artist’s work, and a signature drink created specifically for the occasion.
