Feminist Futures: Open Call for Micro-Experimental Art Projects 2025
Are you ready to create, resist, and transform? Karne Kunst is thrilled to announce our 2025 Open Call for Micro-Experimental Art Projects, inviting feminist artists, collectives, and cultural workers to dream big within small-scale projects.
What Are Micro-Experimental Projects?
These are small yet impactful projects designed to push boundaries and challenge traditional formats. Why micro? Because external funding cuts won’t stop us. As migrant feminists, we’ve always found ways to create despite systemic barriers, censorship, and indifference. This is our chance to keep building connections, keep experimenting, and keep creating, no matter the restrictions.
These projects are experimental because the only limits we recognize are the ones we refuse to accept.
Let’s turn limitations into liberation, scarcity into abundance, and ideas into action. Join us in shaping a feminist future through creativity, experimentation, and collective care.
What We’re Looking For
We’re calling for innovative, collaborative, and feminist micro-projects that explore art, care, and resistance in unexpected ways. Whether your medium is performance, sound, visual art, or food, this is your opportunity to transform constraints into opportunities for radical expression.
Examples of micro-projects include:
- Interactive Installations: Temporary art pieces that invite audiences to engage with feminist themes in unexpected ways.
- Experimental Performances: Movement-based or site-specific performances that challenge traditional notions of space and audience interaction.
- Food as Art: A sensory exploration of feminism and identity through edible creations, transforming cooking or food into a political statement.
- Soundscapes: Immersive audio works that document and amplify collective care and resistance.
What We Offer

- A collaborative environment with diverse participants.
- A materials budget of €300 per project.
